"We have introduced advanced automatic cutting beds, computer sewing equipment, etc., and 25 Chinese managers have carried out training and counseling, adopted lean production management and production execution systems, and are committed to building a first-class garment factory in Laos." Bede Clothing (Laos) Co., Ltd. General Manager Sun Linhua told reporters.

Headquartered in Jiangsu, China, Bader Garment Group has previously set up factories in Yangon, Myanmar, and Kampong Speu, Cambodia. Two years ago, the group came to Laos and invested in the Saiseta Comprehensive Development Zone. The factory has 40 production lines, employs 2000 employees, and designs an annual production capacity of 20 million sets of various knitted garments. The products are sold to European, American and Japanese markets.

Lao employee Rida is from the northwestern province of Sayaburi. Although she came into contact with modern production equipment for the first time after she came to the factory, she quickly mastered the operation technology through training. "Work here is guaranteed, meals are subsidized, dormitories and utilities are all borne by the company, and most of the wages can be sent home except for some pocket money. I hope there will be such a modern factory in Sayaburi in the future." said Rita.

The function of the Saiseta Comprehensive Development Zone is positioned as "one city and four districts", that is, the Vientiane Industrial Ecological New City and the carrying area of international production capacity cooperation, the demonstration area developed by China and Laos, the core area of Vientiane New City, and the livable area of harmonious living environment. At present, the development zone has attracted 131 enterprises from China, Japan, Singapore, Thailand and other countries and regions, with a total investment of more than 1.5 billion US dollars and 6000 migrant workers. At present, after all the enterprises settled in the development zone are put into operation, the total annual output value is expected to exceed 1.8 billion US dollars, creating more than 10000 jobs.
